The Hominidae (anglicized Hominids, also known as great apes) form a taxonomic family, including four extant genera: chimpanzees, gorillas, humans and orangutans.

A number of known extinct genera are grouped with humans in the Hominina subtribe, others with orangutans in the Ponginae subtribe. The most recent common ancestor of the Hominidae lived some 13 million years ago, when the ancestors of the orangutans speciated from the ancestors of the other three genera. The ancestors of the Hominidae family in turn speciated from those of the Hylobatidae family some 15 million years ago. (click to see all the article on Wikipedia)

人科(英語中的Hominids，也被稱為類人猿)是一個生物分類，包含四個現存屬：黑猩猩，大猩猩，人類及猩猩。

人亞科包含了已知與人類相近的而滅絕的屬，以及猩猩亞科的猩猩。最近的人科共同祖先，存在於約1千3百萬年前，由猩猩的原種以及其他三個屬的共祖(人亞科)所組成。而人科的原種又再分化出長臂猿科，約在1千5百萬年前。
